$675,000 for slip and fall on building’s uneven concrete steps resulting in fractured elbow

A man was walking down concrete stairs outside the building where he lived when he lost his balance and fell. The concrete steps were sloped and uneven, which caused him to mis-step, lose his balance and fall. He fractured his elbow, for which he underwent surgery and the doctor inserted a plate into his arm. After extensive discovery and depositions, both sides attended a private mediation where the case settled for $675,000.
