$1,800,000 for driver in motor vehicle accident

Man in his late 20’s was driving his car when he was struck in the rear by another vehicle. The client sustained a herniated disc in his neck and a torn rotator cuff in his shoulder for which he underwent surgical procedures. He was not able to work for seven months as a result of his injuries. We made a motion for summary judgment. The Court agreed and held the owner of the vehicle solely responsible for the accident for hitting our client in the rear. While the trial was taking place, the case settled for $1. 8 million.
