A woman in her 40’s was driving her car which was stopped at an intersection when it was struck in the rear by a small van. The court granted the client a judgment on liability against the van for striking the client’s vehicle in the rear. The client herniated some discs in her neck and back and underwent cervical spine fusion surgery to her neck and her back. The case settled for
$1,875,000. There was only $2,000,000 of available liability insurance coverage.
